Folk Style Bedroom Makeover- This was a bedroom makeover that I did for a wonderful client who has a nice collection of folk art. Her paintings were what inspired the room. She wanted her new bedroom to feel like she was staying at a bed and breakfast. She also wanted to feel at peace when relaxing and reading in her room. We purchased new bedding, repainted her room a nice warm color and added bead board and chair rail to give it that cozy inn like feeling. I added accessories and her furniture and presto! She had her new folk style bedroom!

This was the room before the makeover. These are the paintings that inspired the room. Notice how much the paint, bead board, bedding, and new curtains change the room to give it a cozy feeling. We were able to use her furniture and accessories and we saved money by doing this. I try to save my clients money by incorporating pieces that they already have and changing other things that still make a big impact!

Bathroom Remodel-This was a bathroom remodel that I did for my clients. My clients wanted to keep their cabinets and tub so we focused on doing a backspash with new mirrors and added a new granite top. They saved money by doing this and their bathroom still had a nice makeover.

I designed a border around the floor and I arranged the tile on the diagonal within the border. I also used accents in in the middle to tie in with our border. You can create beautiful floor designs if you are creative!

This was the shower that I had built for them. They had a plastic shower insert beforehand. Notice how I tied in the slate tiles from the backsplash around the sink into the shower area.

This was the wall nicho that I designed for their shower. I wanted to have a focal point in the shower and I needed something functional to store shampoo and soap. I also wanted to make a statement so it was attractive but also functional! I believe function should be one of the most the important elements in good design. If a space is not functional than my clients would not use their spaces. A space would not be usable if it was only nice to look at. It needs to be functional first.
